Basics in vehicle services and installation

In this arena of car and truck services and installation, I include the following:

  • Accessory Installation
  • Air Conditioning & Heater
  • Alignment & Steering
  • Appraisal & Inspection
  • Battery & Electronics
  • Body & Paint
  • Brakes
  • Cooling System & Radiator
  • Engine Services
  • Exhaust & Muffler
  • Extended Service Contracts
  • Glass Repair or Replacement
  • Machining Service
  • Oil Change & Lube
  • Performance or Racing
  • Restoration & Fabrication
  • State Inspection/Smog Check
  • Tire and Wheel Installation
  • Transmission Service
  • Tune-Up
  • Vehicle Shipping

So, as you can see, there is a lot to owning and maintaining a motor vehicle.  Most of us, including me, don't tend to think of all of these things at once.  Sure, we're probably up to speed on regular oil changes and lube jobs.  But when it comes to all these other things in the way of services for our cars and trucks, most of us don't think about it until something breaks and we are forced to.

Remedy to high cost of vehicle services and installation

With the economy in the tank, too, more and more people are having to delay or defer vehicle services and installation.  More and more have taken to the do-it-yourself mode.  Quite a few are now using the power of the Internet to shop for competitive prices for parts & accessories for their car and truck services and installation.  It's no longer a time when you went to your local dealer or garage repair shop because that was the only option you had.

Below, I've included a YouTube educational video.  You might be interested in the topic...or not.  My purpose in making it a part of this page is to demonstrate that there are online resources for just about everything you want and need to learn about doing in the services and installation part of taking care of your car or truck.  I recommend going for the more viewed videos.  It's also good to check out some of the comments.  Just know that there are those out there that want to slam just about anything and everything.  And also know that many of these videos are created to get you to use whatever it is they're promoting...their product (if any).

That said, I encourage you to check out places like eBay and Amazon for things you might need for your car or truck.  Even with shipping, you could be surprised at the cost savings.

Now, remember that there is Automotive Service Excellence certificate for those who give auto services and installation which can be read on wiki.
