K Sport Coilovers-One of the best on the market

K Sport Coilovers

K Sport  USA is one of the  top manufacturers of suspensions in todays market.  K Sport Coilovers provide drivers with ultimate control and top tier performance. All of their coilovers  are made from high quality 6061 Aluminum with T6 for extreme stiffness. K sport Suspensions also use a Monotube fabrication  in which the gas and oil are separated. This provides for the set to drive away heat faster. Below are the different types of  K Sport suspensions that we carry.

Another question for bela k / nate_625 about alignment/camber adjustment?

I really appreciate your input on the question about alignment. I'm not a genius about matters of the car as you may have noticed. After reviewing your comments and looking at additional information on the web, I agree that it may be camber that I should be worried about. Let me give you the deets on my car.

It is a 1992 Mercury Sable and so it has control arms on the back and not an axle. It got in a collision with some train tracks about 2 years ago and bent up the two control arms on the left. I replaced those but since, it has had problems staying on the road, especially in rain and snow. It is wearing badly on the inside of the tires and just by eyeballing it, the right tire looks like it has a visible angle on it.

Having said that, my questions are the following:
1. Is the problem dealing with alignment, camber or maybe something else?
2. Is this fixable?
3. If yes on 2, how much are we looking at?

I would be glad to chat with either of you if that's any easier...

ok jonathan, traditionally inner wear on the tire is a bearing or camber issue, but this sound like your frame make be tweeked a little. you replaced the control arms, but the train thing makes me suspect not an allingment issue but the frame. and it doesnt take much to cause tire wear. as little as a few degrees off can wear the tires. but it may be camber. camber adust ments are made by inserting or removing shims between the frame and the the arm. tow in and tow out allignment is the distance between the front and the rear of the tires on the same axle. its not applicable in the rear.

most anything is fixable. if its a bearing, it needs to be replaced or tightened. some bearings can be tightened some cant. if its the frame, thats a tough one to fix. it can be donebut difficult, expensive and no guarantee it will fix problem or last. once the frame is tweeked, its almost advisable to get rid of the car. if its the camber, easy fix

bearings would cost, i dont know $20 ballbark guess in parts and 1-3 hrs labor. 3 hrs would be a bit high, but acceptable. camber would be $10 parts 1/2 hr to 1 hr labor. if its the frame i wouldnt fudge with it, get rid of the car.

hope this helps.
