How to replace radiator hose (heater hose?)?
So I'm quite certain there is a leak in one of the hoses in my car's cooling system. I think I've pinpointed it to one particular hose, but it's smaller and runs along the bottom of the radiator (sort of). Is this a heater hose? Also, I can't easily find where it connects so I can replace it. Is this something better left to a repair shop? This is an early 90's Subaru Legacy.
I'll say yes.
A simple water hose can be a nightmare if you do not have the right tools and the experience. It can be easy to replace but sometimes you have components in the way that require more tools and time to remove to get to the hose. Besides it is better to pressure test the system and pinpoint the leak and make sure nothing else is leaking.
