How do I fix/repair my touchpad functions on my laptop?

First off I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4284. It came under a virus(s) recently, which removed a few icons on my taskbar tray. One of them being the smart touchpad. I used to be able to scroll web pages with it and many other browser functions. Now its just like a regular touchpad. I have since removed the virus but the problem still remains. Any suggestions?
