Portable And Rugged Data Communication Tester
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) recommends its multi-purpose handheld data communication tester designed for the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of digital networks. This rugged tester carries out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at a speed between 50bit/s and 2048kbit/s.
This portable data communication tester, model A0300002, is small in size and light in weight and consumes little power. It supports synchronous or asynchronous data transmission and generates and monitors PCM30, PCM30 CRC, PCM31 and PCM31 CRC frame structures. An error analysis function allows histograms of error or alarm data to be quickly and easily displayed. This compact tester integrates V.24, V.35, V.11, X.21 interfaces, G.703 Co-dir 64kbit/s interface and G.703-2Mkbit/s interface; accommodations for future interfaces have also been considered. Additionally, the measuring conditions can be stored in memory to prevent data loss in the event of power failure.

I accidentally keep blowing the bulb in my Auto continuity tester due to not knowing if the circuit is hot.?
Since fuses are somewhat cheaper and easier to find than the bulbs, would you suggest putting in an inline fuse that I would think would blow before the bulb? If so what size fuse? If not-what would you suggest?
I would learn something about automotive electrical systems 1st.
